Responsibilities & duties

• Engine/trailer service including basic automotive repair.
• Records time spent, parts used and repair work performed clearly and accurately
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and recommend and preform appropriate repairs and preventive maintenance
• DOT inspections. (We will train for this)
• Examine vehicles to identify necessary repair or safety items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to shop manager
• Maintain a safe, clean, productive and efficient work area
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of fleet mechanic repair experience
• Possess the recommended minimum hand tools for a diesel technician/mechanic. Company tools also provided.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
